Site Narrative

On John Lewis and Presidential Parkway, site of the Jimmy Carter Library and Center.  In December 2004 former President Carter supported same sex civil unions, at the behest of activists Berl Boykin and Dave Hayward. Earlier Carter refused to support LGBTQ rights, when Georgia Gay Liberation Front activists the late Berl Boykin, Bill Smith, and Klaus Smith met with him on July 14, 1971.
